Amy, Max and Lady 

Amelia appeared in January 2010 on the street of Quinta do Conde very pregnant. We took over one and half hour to catch her because she was very scared of people but we finally managed, thanks to Filipa, Sónia, Ana and Fernanda and we brought this sweet girl to the vet to have her sterilised. Even scared as she was, she didn't try to bite us, so gentle she is.

Amelia is a sweet and gentle dog, however she is very shy so she needs a very understanding family where she could take her time to get used to new environment. It would be best if Amelia could live in an apartment and have a frequent human company, not to be left alone for many hours. She is an exceptional animal, but she must have been badly treated so she is afraid of people she does not know and she might always be like this. When she gets to know someone however, she becomes playful, social, curious - she is asking for love and affection.
